A Message To Fellow Rangers
From The Chairman
Fellow Rangers : The National Ranger Memorial was established in 1992 to recognize and commemorate all Rangers, past and present. It is located on the grounds of Ft. Benning, Georgia. The monument has become a major tourist attraction at historic Ft. Benning. It is YOUR monument, and all Rangers can take a measure of pride and satisfaction in it. Whether you are or were an RI in the ARTB, an Infantryman in the 75th Ranger Regiment, or put forth the exceptional effort required to attain the coveted Ranger tab, the Ranger Memorial belongs to one and all who have shown the intestinal fortitude and made the sacrifice for the honor to be, or to be called, Ranger – something you will always be.
From its inception and construction, the Ranger Memorial at Ft. Benning has been, and continues to be, a private non-governmental enterprise. The Foundation, which was subsequently established to maintain the Ranger Memorial itself, operates solely on private contributions. Annually, after providing for the maintenance of the facility, it has been possible to set aside a modest amount of funds for scholarships to assist Rangers, their families, and descendants in need of college tuition assistance. To this end, the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee selects designated individuals from our Ranger population deserving of this recognition and assistance.
The Memorial site itself has been the scene of numerous ceremonies and meetings to include Ranger Hall of Fame Ceremonies, changes of command, awards ceremonies, and meetings of the various Ranger associations, clubs, and committees. The National Ranger Memorial Foundation (NRMF), along with Ft. Benning Post Headquarters, feels privileged to host the various Ranger activities at the Memorial for the Ranger community, both active duty and retired.
Fellow Rangers, this is OUR Memorial. On behalf of the NRMF, your support is greatly appreciated and always welcome. We of the NRMF also enthusiastically anticipate hosting your activities and stand ready to support one and all at the National Ranger Memorial.

“Amazing monument and a must-see if you’re on Fort Benning. Plenty of parking nearby and an on-site index book if you’re trying to locate a specific stone. Lots of other things to see in the area as well. I’ve been there a few times during the day and have never seen it crowded. Well worth your time. Rangers Lead The Way!”

“Going back to Moore is like going home. I’ve been retired nearly 35 years and I never miss stopping at Fort Benning and going by my old OCS company, and jump school. But the last thing my wife and I do before leaving is we spend time at the Ranger Memorial where I can see the names of old friends and recall the hardships we endured as Rangers. “To old friends, long gone, but not forgotten” RLTW Sua Sponte“

“Dedicated to the people who fought and died for this country.“
