The Monument
The National Ranger Monument began as a sketch drawn on a napkin by two anonymous Rangers in a mess hall. From such humble beginnings has arisen a magnificent testimony to the contributions Rangers have made to the common defense of the United States and around the globe.
The Ranger Monument is one of the most visited military sites located on Fort Benning, Georgia. Since its first corner stones were laid, the monument has become a focal point for Ranger activities, family visits, and other happenings. The Ranger Monument is now part of the Historic Trail of Fort Benning.
Through our scholarships, we strive to lessen the financial burden of higher education and to inspire students to pursue their dreams and aspirations. It’s our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to our Rangers and their families, who have given so much in the service of our nation.
The Ranger Monument is located on Ranger Field east of the Maneuver Center’s Headquarters. Ranger Field was dedicated to the sacrifices of U.S. Army Rangers to support and defend freedom around the globe. The Ranger Monument is the center -piece of Ranger Field.
