Tim and Barbara Leadbeater Proud Sponsor of the National Ranger Memorial Foundation
Tim and Barbara Leadbeater are honored to support the National Ranger Memorial Foundation as a Platinum Sponsor.

Our Humble Beginnings
The concept for the National Ranger Memorial began with a simple sketch on a napkin by two anonymous Rangers in a mess hall. Though modest in origin, this drawing represented a profound vision: to permanently honor the courage and dedication of U.S. Army Rangers across all generations. That initial spark ignited a movement to build a lasting symbol of respect for those who have devoted their lives to safeguarding the nation. This vision was implemented by MG (Ret) Kenneth C. Leuer.
How We Evolved
Transforming a rough sketch into the National Ranger Memorial was a challenging journey, but one fueled by an unwavering determination to honor the Ranger legacy. Built in 1992, the memorial is situated in a prominent area on main post, adjacent to the Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning, Georgia. Today, the site features 8,000 stones dedicated to Rangers past and present, markers detailing significant Ranger history, and the prestigious Ranger Hall of Fame wall. It serves as a central gathering place for Ranger activities, family visits, and solemn commemorative events.

The Mission
The National Ranger Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a primary objective: to preserve and maintain the National Ranger Memorial. This site stands as a permanent tribute to the history and legacy of U.S. Army Rangers—past, present, and future.
Beyond the stone and mortar of the memorial, the Foundation’s commitment extends to supporting the Ranger community in tangible ways. We actively distribute collegiate scholarships for active-duty and retired Rangers, as well as their family members. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $925,000 in scholarships, ensuring that the bravery, sacrifice, and stories of the nation’s Rangers are honored not just in stone, but in the future success of their families.
