
BG (ret) Joseph S.Stringham was appointed Chairman of the National Ranger Memorial Foundation in December, 2013 by the original Chairman, MG (ret) Kenneth C. Leuer. BG Stringham served on active duty for 32 years as an Airborne Ranger Infantryman and Special Forces officer.
He is the 4 th and oldest living commander of the 75 th Ranger Regiment with widely recognized combat service. He was inducted
into the Ranger Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Special Forces Hall of Fame in 2010. He is also a Distinguished Member of the Airborne Ranger Training Brigade.
Upon retiring from active duty, BG Stringham worked as a security advisor for Chevron in Angola, Africaand as General Manager of Aleutiiq/Fluor Daniel Engineering and Construction, Inc. in Sao Paolo, Brazil. He also guest lectured at the Joint Service Special Operations University in Tampa, Florida.
Joe and wife Sandy have been married for 56 years and live on Cumberland Mountain in Northeastern
Alabama.
