Outgoing Chairman Message from BG (RET) Joe Stringham
It is with a heavy heart yet immense gratitude that I announce my retirement as Chairman of the National Ranger Memorial Foundation. My tenure, since 2013, has been a fulfilling journey of service and commitment to the Ranger community, and I am deeply honored to have had the opportunity to lead this esteemed organization.
I want to welcome the newly elected, incoming Chairman, BG (Ret) Larry Burris. With his extensive background and experience, I have no doubt that he will be ‘Leading the Way’ with the same level of dedication and commitment that he has shown throughout his military career. I have the upmost confidence that his tenure will be one of many meaningful accomplishments.
Throughout my time as Chairman, I have been privileged to work alongside dedicated individuals who share the same passion and commitment to preserving the legacy of our Rangers. Together, we have made significant strides in honoring the past, supporting the present, and building the future of the Rangers through our various programs and initiatives. As my last action as Chairman, the Board of Directors and I awarded $44,000 in college scholarships on April 12th, to Rangers and their family members. (Please see the press release towards the bottom of this email.) To date, we have awarded over $800,000 in college scholarships.
As I reflect on my years of service, I am filled with pride for what we have accomplished and the impact we have had on the lives of those within the Ranger Community.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every member of the Ranger community for their unwavering support and dedication. It is because of your commitment and generosity that we have been able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Rangers and their families.
As I step down from my role as Chairman, I urge you to continue supporting the National Ranger Memorial Foundation in our mission to honor the legacy of our Rangers. In particular , I ask for your help in our efforts to overturn the desecration of the Ranger Memorial by the erasure of Colonel John S Mosby. This is a crucial moment for our community, and it is essential that we stand united in our fight to protect the integrity and significance of our beloved memorial. I’d like to encourage you to go to our website and sign up for monthly reoccurring donations to help us with this fight.
Thank you once again for your support and dedication. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as Chairman of the National Ranger Memorial Foundation, and I look forward to seeing the foundation continue to thrive and make a positive impact in the years to come.

Rangers Lead the Way!
