National Ranger Memorial Foundation Awards $44,000 in College Scholarships for 2024
[Ft Moore, GA] – The National Ranger Memorial Foundation (NRMF) is proud to announce that its Board of Directors has awarded $44,000 in college scholarships for the year 2024. 22 candidates were chosen, nationwide, and were awarded $2,000 each. Candidate requirements are A) Ranger qualified-past or present service B) Family members of Rangers C) Descendants of past Rangers. Academic merit and accomplishments also play an important role in the selection process. Since the Foundation’s inception, the NRMF has awarded over $800,000 in collegiate scholarships.
The scholarship program, led by Scholarship Chairman CSM (Ret) Mike Kelso, aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students pursuing higher education. The NRMF recognizes the importance of education in shaping the future leaders of our country and is honored to play a role in helping these students achieve their academic goals.
“We are thrilled to award these scholarships to such a deserving group of students,” said Scholarship Chairman CSM (Ret) Mike Kelso. “These individuals have already demonstrated their commitment to serving our country, and we are proud to support their continued growth and success through education.”
The scholarships were awarded by the NRMF’s Board of Directors, chaired by BG (Ret) Larry Burris and former Chairman, BG (Ret) Joe Stringham.
“The National Ranger Memorial Foundation is dedicated to honoring the legacy of the brave men and women who have served our country,” said BG (Ret) Larry Burris, Chairman of the Board. “By providing these scholarships, we are not only supporting the educational pursuits of our nation’s heroes but also investing in the future of our country.”
The National Ranger Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of the U.S. Army Rangers. In addition to providing college scholarships, the foundation supports various programs and initiatives that honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s Rangers.
